Storing Dog Treats
In general you should store dog treats the same way you would homemade people cookies. They should be kept in a tightly
sealed container for freshness and flavour. Cookies will last longest when stored in the fridge or frozen. Remember to fully
thaw any frozen treats before serving. Treats containing meat ingredients should always be stored in the fridge.
Not-So-Nice Ingredients
There are some types of people food that just aren’t meant for our canine companions. Some foods that are best to
exclude or limit in your dog’s diet include:
- Grapes
- Raisins
- Chocolate
- Garlic
- Avocado
|
- Nutmeg
- Onions
- Pears
- Peaches
- Spices
|
- Alcohol
- Apple
- Apricot
- Citrus Rinds + Seeds

Dogs can also suffer from conditions including diabetes and food allergies. Consult your veterinarian on symptoms to watch
out for and what you should and shouldn’t be feeding your dog.
As with people, your dog can get upset stomach by eating food he’s not used to or eating too much of one type of
food. A balanced diet equals a happy, healthy puppy!
